A. We manufacture wind chimes, garden signs, sundials, various garden décor, candle accessories, table top accessories, serveware collections, assorted serveware and
general gifts.
Q. What is StatesmetalTM?
A. StatesmetalTM, a recycled aluminum alloy, was developed to emulate the appeal and rich warmth of genuine pewter. The molten metal is hand poured into sand molds, much like was customary in early America and in 17th through 19th Century Europe. StatesmetalTM will not chip, crack, break or rust. Our Garden and Home Décor products can be used indoors and outdoors. Our Serveware products are FDA approved for the preparation, serving and
storing of food.
Q. What is Sandcasting?
A. Unlike some modern casting techniques designed for mass production that utilize automated centrifugal forced casting equipment and rubber molds, Sandcasting is a very hand-crafted operation which results in a high degree of product uniqueness, charm and lasting value. We are one of very few sandcasting operations keeping this lasting tradition alive and well. Our production equipment actually compresses a mold of fine, dense, specially formulated ‘casting sand’ around one of our patterns. One of our casters then hand ladles the molten StatesmetalTM from our main furnace into the newly formed sand molds. Once the casting begins to cool and harden, the casting sand is removed and recycled into our operation for use in a new separate mold. Through this process, each mold is used only once, rendering each item a true original with its own unique character markings. The castings then progress through a series of hand-finishing operations. They must pass through our established quality standards prior to shipping to our customers.
